Youth Pokémon TCG Tournament

We're keeping the summer going with a dedicated youth Pokémon TCG event.

This one is aimed at younger players, with a relaxed but properly run Play! Pokémon environment. Whether you've been battling all year or you're still getting confident with your deck, this is a great chance to play, learn, meet other players and enjoy a properly sanctioned Pokémon event.

What to Expect

This is a youth-focused Pokémon TCG event for players aged 16 and under. We'll be checking decks for legality before play starts, so please make sure your deck is legal, complete and ready to go when you arrive.

The event will be friendly and welcoming, while still following proper tournament procedures so players can experience how sanctioned Play! Pokémon events are run.

Prizes

We'll have prizes available throughout the day, including:

• Pokémon playmats
• Series 9 Play! Pokémon Prize Packs
• Pokémon notepads

What to Bring

• Your own legal Pokémon TCG deck
• Damage counters or dice
• A coin or suitable randomiser
• Any markers required for your deck
• Your Pokémon Trainer Club Player ID
• Water, snacks or lunch money if needed

Deck Checks

All decks will be checked before the tournament begins. Please make sure your deck is legal before arriving.

A legal deck should include:

• Exactly 60 cards
• No more than 4 copies of any card with the same name (except Basic Energy)
• Cards legal for the current Standard format
• Sleeves that are consistent, unmarked and in good condition

If you're unsure whether your deck is legal, arrive a little early and we'll happily help you check it.

New Players Welcome

You don't need to be an expert to take part. Newer players are very welcome, and we'll help with Player IDs, deck questions and anything else you need before the tournament begins.

Please arrive in good time so we can complete registration, carry out deck checks and start the tournament smoothly.
